Six Months and Counting......

So it had been six months since Love Yourself's inception.

Currently the Philippines HIV/AIDS incidence is at an all-time high with ‎212 HIV cases for November 2011 alone, 2,081 from Jan-Nov 2011, and a cumulative of 8,096 cases since 1984 up to Nov. 2011. of the 212, 61 are among ages 15-24 years old, of the 212 reported cases, 199 are males(Source: National Epidemiology Center AIDS Registry as of November 2011).

Our group has a long way to go and a tough battle ahead of us.

And today, we lost an HIV-positive client in his teenage years because of related complications. He had tested with us just last Dec 11, but as he waits for the confirmatory results, his condition worsened brought about by an opportunistic infection which eventually led to his untimely death. Our colleague one of the Love Yourself member who was his counselor during the testing had been helping him and his family from the confirmatory process up to the burial preparations.

The death of one of our clients is indeed very sad and heartbreaking... we grieve... but, this day marks not just a loss for us...

We should recognize that this is NOT A LOSING BATTLE.
As long as there are people who dare to care and share;
We come together to stand and fight against the disease... let us use this feeling of sadness and turn it into a renewed fire for our cause...

As long as there are people dying of HIV... Man, Woman & child... our advocacy will not stop! Let us keep that fountain of love, that dares us more, to show people how much we care..

Awareness and action is the key. And out there, everyone's concern & help matters, starting with loving oneself.

Disney Princesses Comes To Life...

OK after the beefcake shots of the Disney Prince's Lets peek at how the Princesses would look like in real life with the magic of Digital photography.
Although I am kinda disappointed that Cinderella and Snow White was not included...

If Disney princesses were real by Joanna Douglas

Princess Jasmine from Disney's Aladdin comes to "real" life via a graphic artist's rendering-
We’ve always loved the Disney princesses in a fairy tale sense, so we’ve never imagined they were real. But one graphic design student at the Arts University College at Bournemouth in the UK had the creative idea to bring Disney characters to life using photo manipulation. Jirka Väätäinen told us, “I've always been interested in the way people look and what makes them unique in their appearances. This was a personal challenge for me to see if I could recreate characters that we all know and love, and try to maintain their unique features. The end results are what I would imagine the characters to look like in ‘real life,’ while still staying somewhat true to the unrealistic quirks in their original character designs.” Väätäinen said his interpretations of eight Disney princesses and one villain were created by combining elements from different photos of women who resemble the characters. He then creates composite images through digital painting and then puts them.

Updated: Dec. 4, 2011 at 10:31 p.m.

Madonna, a multi Grammy Award-winning Universal Records recording artist, will perform in the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show on NBC on Sunday, Feb. 5, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, the NFL and NBC announced at halftime of Sunday night's game between the New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions. Madonna's performance will be imagined by Cirque Du Soleil and Jamie King.

The Bridgestone Super Bowl halftime show is the most-watched musical event of the year. More than 162 million viewers in the U.S. watched last year's show. The Super Bowl and halftime show will be broadcast worldwide.

Madonna joins an esteemed list of recent halftime acts that includes The Black Eyed Peas, The Who, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Prince, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and U2.

A world class entertainer, singer, songwriter, producer, director, and video visionary, Madonna has sold more than 300 million records in the course of her three-decade career as The Material Girl. She is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee. Her last tour was the most successful tour by a solo artist in history. Madonna is currently in the recording studio working on a new album scheduled to be released next year. Her new film W.E., which she directed, wrote and produced, is opening in a limited one-week release Dec. 9 in Los Angeles and will open nationally on Feb. 3, two days prior to Super Bowl XLVI.

Madonna has partnered with a creative team from Cirque du Soleil, Jamie King, and multimedia artists from Moment Factory, to create a signature performance for the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show.

This year marks the fifth time Bridgestone Americas has sponsored the Super Bowl halftime show. The tire company's new brand campaign, fittingly titled "Time to Perform," will debut during the game.

The Bridgestone Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show is an NFL Network production and will be executive produced by Ricky Kirshner and directed by Hamish Hamilton.

AIDS Chief and Health Sec. Enrique Ona jeered by HIV and AIDS activists and people living with HIV and AIDS
by Jonas Bagas on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 11:01am

Health Secretary and AIDS Chief Enrique Ona was booed and jeered at the Plenary Meeting of the Philippine National AIDS Council (PNAC) yesterday, December 2, 2011, after he practically endorsed a witch hunt of ‘homosexuals’ as an HIV testing strategy to address the growing HIV epidemic in the Philippines. (See video

Around 30 HIV and AIDS activists from organizations belonging to the Network to Stop HIV and AIDS in the Philippines (NSAP) jeered Ona and blew their red whistles, demanding that Ona exercise political leadership as chair of PNAC.

In reaction to the growing infection among men who have sex with men and transgenders in the Philippines, Sec. Ona proposed that the government’s interventions must be targeted, suggesting that parents should be contacted and asked if they have homosexual children and be told about their children’s ‘problem’.

He proposed the same strategy for 'drug addicts'.

His proposal, premised on the flawed notion that informed consent is a hindrance to an effective and targeted response to the epidemic, reflects a complete rejection of evidence-informed and human rights-based strategies that are stipulated the Philippines AIDS Medium Term Plan and endorsed by the World Health Organization.

PNAC was discussing the adoption of the UN Political Declaration on HIV and AIDS when Sec. Ona raised his stigmatising proposal. Ironically, the Declaration itself strongly opposes stigmatizing and discriminatory interventions towards key populations like men who have sex with men and transgenders, drug users, and sex workers.

During the plenary meeting, the issue of the funding cut due to the Global Fund cancellation was likewise raised. In the past years, the Global Fund accounted for 60% of the total AIDS spending in the country. NSAP earlier warned that the funding cut would lead to the downscaling of at least 50% of prevention, treatment, care and support services.

Sec. Ona reiterated his position that the current amount of spending by the national government is enough, despite reports that attribute the rising HIV infections to the insufficiency of HIV services. He said that to make the response more effective, it has to be more targeted, thus the proposal to utilize parents to identify and reach these key affected populations.

He said that the funding gap that the Global Fund would leave behind should be covered by local governments. When asked about the counterpart from the national government, he just ‘noted’ the inquiry, indicating his unwillingness to invest on HIV and AIDS services. He likewise compared AIDS with other non-communicable diseases like renal diseases and simply brushed aside recommendations for bigger public spending from the national government on HIV and AIDS.

NSAP’s member-organizations are pushing for the establishment of an Emergency Fund for HIV and AIDS to prevent the cutting down of HIV and AIDS services that have become all the more important due to the growing epidemic. From January to October 2011, the Philippines has reported 1,869 new cases of HIV, overtaking the total figure for 2010, which was 1,591. The Philippines is one of the only seven countries worldwide that failed to halt or slowdown new HIV infections. The network also called for the creation of a Special Task Force on HIV and AIDS to address the gap in the political leadership.

Postscript: Last time I checked were in 21'st Century Philippines not 1600's SALEM.... This is so sad.

MIMOSA

Ok after the KC/Piolo affair now comes Mo twisters viral video admitting to an abortion done by his ex Rhian in Sg. This is so sad, I personally do not agree with abortion but I'm thinking how could anybody for the love of God professed his love to a girl, then out her to deliberately ruin the girls life, I believe in choice and any person has his/her right to do whats good for them and bottom line is that its between God and that person only ,what ever things that had been done. And who are we to judge.

The way I see it in this situation is that this is a deliberate demolition job of a lover scorned and out for revenge as Rhian apparently dumped Mo.Ok ok im judging lol.

This had the netizens buzzing again with the publics appetite for tsismis this will definitely escalate, because by tomorrow the Weekend showbiz talk shows will have a field day on this.

Sadly as mentioned the Philippines is a country full of chismosos and chismosa.
Sandamakmak na Mimosa no offense meant to the flower.....

CONFIRMED?

Much had been said about the KC/Piolo affair but even with all the tell all crap in most afternoon showbiz talk shows yesterday nothing had been really confirmed.
Except for the fact that the two is no longer together which had been a given already.

Even the KC cry fest is nothing but read between the lines guessing game.
No direct answers, no mind shattering revelations but rather just a girl whining about her ex, The web is literally exploding with speculations ,innuendos but sad to say that our obsession with Artistas and their personal life was in high gear but everybody went home disappointed cause nothing came out of it.

No juicy tidbit but rather its just a run of the mill guessing and crying game....Waste of time really but sadly Filipinos thrive on other peoples misery and the only thing confirmed is that were a nation of chismosos and chismosas ,no pun intended.......

BEG, STEAL & LIE

OMG Beck's is coming to town and I am oh so excited for this. I need to see my eternal crush in person as in. If I have to beg steal and lie just to get the tickets for the Exhibition match of LA Galaxy VS. Philippine Azkals on December 3 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila, I'll do it.
Well of course not literally. I'll try the normal route first buy tickets at the box office, if this doesn't work I'll pull some strings, I do know some people from the Medical Team of AZKALS. But if all else fails I would have to do what I have earlier mentioned "BEG,STEAL & LIE" LOL.
I wonder if Victoria is coming also......

"You're going to die in there"

I recently watched the Philippine TV Premier of American Horror Story and boy was I blown away. Ryan Murphy is so back to his own elements creating a TV series that is Horrifying, sexy, weird, mental,Spine chillin, mind boggling, weird and oh so twisted.

I loved it the minute Addie the daughter of Constance played by Jessica Lange uttered the line "You're going to die in there".

I'm currently watching the rest of the episodes via the internet and I cant stop watching it, very addicting actually, thanks to free TV in the web LOL.
Anyways the show is a respite from new stupid shows that had been proliferating lately esp. during the fall season newbies plus the fact that Glee had gotten so tired already time to switch channels. And as a bonus my favorite TV girl from "AWKWARD" Jenna Hamilton ,Ashley Richards will guest as a dead cheerleader woohoo. Love it....

LAST DITCH...

Beyonce recently released a new video for a bonus track from her "4" album, "Dance For You". Its nice probably shot before she got knocked up, but is it really necessary to release a video for a bonus song. A Last ditch effort maybe to show off her kick ass body before it gets ravaged by pregnancy.

I'll just dedicate this to my friend R, maybe he can do the routine B did to his L U V ....:p

Really? Seriously?

Like seriously the latest incarnation of Snow White is freakin kidding when they cast Twilight's Kristin Stewart as Snow White then cast Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen, to say that Ms. Stewart is the fairer of the two is simply hilarious.
I know Kristin is hot right now but really? Seriously are you fucking kidding me? The trailer looks good but I can’t get over the fact that Kristin, fairer than Charlize.

Maybe the fairer adjective is in reference to Kristin's skin coloring
And Charlize does look bronzed out in the movie. But for crying out loud she is so damn pretty in the movie or maybe they are referring to Charlize in her Oscar winning role in "Monster" where she got so fat and really ugly. Anyways I’d probably still watch "Snow White & The Huntsman" if only for Charlize and the uber gorgeous Chris Hemsworth....

BIAS

The Official trailer for Madonna's "W.E" is finally out. After the initial clips and the supposed trailer that was used for bookers we now have the offish. The trailer is made more contemporary as oppose to the initial artsy approach given to the first one and I simply think this is way better...but then again I'm a Madonna fan I'll eat anything that the bitch will serve so "Bias" is generally the operational term for my take on the trailer LOL.

So What Happens Now?..

Love Yourself First General Assembly from jedd rommel on Vimeo.

OK! I just graduated as a bona fide HIV/AIDS counselor courtesy of The Love Yourself Organization in cooperation with the Department of Health. Initially I only intended to be a Peer educator but of course I in my usual stubborn self-had to go deeper and be a counselor at that.

While driving home last night I get to thinking of the responsibility that had been anchored in my shoulders and I kinda felt anxious at the same time fearful of what lies ahead in the new role I am assuming , that of an HIV/AIDS counselor.

In training one is given scenarios and situations to role play when faced with individuals that will undergo HIV/AIDS Testing, Hard really at the same time very emotionally draining but still at the back of my head I'm still thinking that it’s just role play and that the person I'm talking to are my classmates in training, not actual people living with HIV so generally in hindsight was kinda easy as I am a Drama Queen personified.

But now it’s actually sinking in my psyche the probable scenarios that will happen in real life when I assume the hat of a full pledge counselor.
December 11, 2011 is a day I dread at the same time really excited about. This will put me to the test, and will put to good use the training I got as an HIV/AIDS counselor. I will be one of the counselors in an HIV Testing center/Social Hygiene Clinic in Quezon City.

Afraid because I am praying that the training I had would suffice for me to do the work without mistakes and help the individuals to cope with the situation they are in. I don't really have a clue what is going to happen but I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I would have the strength and the will to tide this over and see it through without me making an ass of myself.

I know sometimes I could be really condescending and judgmental, but as I learned from our training that one just have to let go of one's biases and embrace ones humanity to feel and be able to empathize. One also has to leave all the excess baggage’s and face the work head on armed with compassion and determination to do it right.

This is so new to me but I am very happy to say that the people I met and forged friendships along the way during my peer Ed. training up to the Counselors training would be there with me to face this. I also know that what I am doing is for the greater good and hope that someone up there would be on my side hopefully when I finally embark on this journey.

So what happens now? I really don’t know but with you know who's help and with my new friends in tow this is going to be good.

TULO......

OMG. Apparently M's new unreleased single leaked in the internet. I'm a fan but I really don't know what to say about this song. At first listen it disappoints but playing it over and over again the ultra catchy pop song is definitely a grower, I also have to remind myself that when MUSIC and HUNG UP was leaked I totally hated it but went on to be her best singles ever so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. And as mentioned this is a freakin demo , it was rumored that Nicki Minaj and MIA will be featured in this song... Cant wait.... LINK

BOY BAND

My favorite boy band este Indie Band had just released their new single "CALL IT WHAT YOU WANT". Kinda reminds me of Maroon 5 with a twist but its still very kewl just like their first single Pumped Up kicks. The video just like any other Indie Acts is confusing and lacking of storyline but then again who needs a storyline when one cant keep one's eyes on the boys.

SLUT-O-RAMA

Last Sunday I had so much fun bonding with my old gurlfriends from my previous work in the Drug cartel. And we joined the TLYP(The Love Yourself Project) Open photo shoot, a very good cause plus my friends really dig the event as they were dolled up and felt like models in the said activity.

But what really stole the thunder in that otherwise eventful day was that, I did not expect to bump into Guys that I shagged in the past. First was in the coffee shop that we went to meet up, then the second and third guy was in the photo shoot.

This are like random guys that I have met online and surprisingly I saw again that afternoon. Generally those guys that you just sleep with and you never see again, But apparently that day was an exception.
I really didn't know how to react I guess,so I did what comes naturally say Hi then Bye.

Now comes the question Was I such a slut that I'm beginning to encounter guys that I slept with in the past?

I guess being in an HIV Volunteer group does attract the crowd that mostly lurks in the shadows of my past... I am just hoping that i don't get to see them in groups or worst they knew each other and their friends...That would be too scary LOL

An Ode to the One That got Away....

I love Adele , vocally she's simply flawless. She's the antithesis of Madonna or say Lady Gaga in terms of style and showmanship.

And like whenever I wanna be angry or maybe on Emo mode I just turn up the volume of my I pod and listen to Adele 19 and 21. Her soulful and emotive vocals simply takes me there lol.

she recently released her new single "SOMEONE LIKE YOU" and for the nth time i have loved that song from the very first time I heard it. The theme of the song, how it was sung, never fails to make me feel melancholy and regret.

Regret mostly because I do identify with the freakin song. For some reasons Seven years ago I met this really wonderful guy thru a gay social networking site. As how it usually goes we chat exchanged phone numbers and decided we meet as soon as possible.
The chat, the texts and phone calls lasts for two weeks then we then decided to finally meet ."BOOTY CALL ALERT" lol

We both work so after office hours was set. We decided to meet in front of his office as he said he'll be coming from fieldwork and he stays in the dorm of the government office he works at.

it was eight o'clock and I was parked in front of his office waiting, then a Pajero alighted from the corner of EDSA, And there he was looking mighty cute in his business attire. He tapped on my window and asked if it was indeed me. i let him in the car and we talked and introduced ourselves to one another, I really don't know what happened if its lust , burning desire to get in each others pants or the long talks in the phone that we had, But I guess there's electricity in the air and we kissed and groped each other.Eventually ending up in bed.

Call it whirlwind but we were so into each other that we decided to be a couple.
The first weeks was pure unadulterated passionate and really sexually charged.
We simply cant get our hands off each other to a point wherein we did it in a movie theater watching of all movies SHREK 2 LOL.

I don't know if I was really fucked up in the head, having this all around nice guy as my boyfriend but I still found time to play around even if there's this guy who actually offered me genuine Love and lots of sex at the same time.

I felt like Mr. wonderful is suffocating me or I'm just a plain and simple Slut.

Then things got awry and bad mainly because of me.
I'm not returning his calls , I Ignored him and gave crappy excuses when I stood him up on our dates which happened a lot .

Eventually we ended the affair after three months, mainly, in hindsight was all my fault.

I had always believed in the saying "don't cry over spilt milk" but this is an exception I guess .

I have constantly regretted my actions then up to now, that I had to be in a great relationship with a wonderful person and I blew it with my overblown Drama Queen persona.

A few years passed then I met him again in a mall and he's with somebody else, I don't know how to react that time.
On fight or flight mode then He smiled at me and approached me. he introduced the guy as his friend and seemed pleasantly happy to see me.
I said hi but I simply cannot bear the sight of the two knowing very well that it could have been me with him.

So in my usual evasive ways I made an excuse saying I have to meet my boss or something and hurriedly left the scene.

I actually felt a tear in my eye but I guess there's no use and He would simply be just the one that got away.....

LSS....

This song is really fucked up and seriously twisted but I'm loving it so so much that I cant get it out of my head literally. Something hypnotic maybe but Foster the people is really really good. I have their album "TORCH" and I'd say there's simply no fillers. Love these guys as in.

Robert's got a quick hand. He's looking 'round the room, he won't tell you his plan. He's got a rolled cigarette, hanging out his mouth he's a cowboy kid. Yeah, he found a six shooter gun. In his dad's closet with a box of fun things, I don't even know what. But he's coming for you, yeah, he's coming for you.

[Chorus x2:]All the other kids with the pumped up kicks, you'd better run, better run, outrun my gun. All the other kids with the pumped up kicks, you'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet.
Daddy works a long day. He's coming home late, yeah, he's coming home late. And he's bringing me a surprise. His dinner's in the kitchen and it's packed in ice.

I've waited for a long time. Yet the slide of my hand is now a quick pulled trigger, I reason with my cigarette, And say your hair's on fire, you must have lost your wits, yeah.

[Chorus x2:]All the other kids with the pumped up kicks, you'd better run, better run, outrun my gun. All the other kids with the pumped up kicks, you'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet.
Run, run, run, run, ru- ru- ru- run, run, run, ru- ru- ru- run, run, run, ru- ru- ru- run, ru- run, run, run, run. [Whistling]

[Chorus x3:]All the other kids with the pumped up kicks, you'd better run, better run, outrun my gun. All the other kids with the pumped up kicks, you'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet.

Long LIVE!!!

My friend Nelly and Rikarda practically owns all of Apple product line and seriously Im so envious LOL.
I do own a few, The I Pad, the I Phone and of course my beloved I Pod. And it saddens me that Steve Jobs, the man responsible for these had passed away.

I cannot really imagine myself without my I Pod ever.
Being a music freak the i pod had been my friend, my companion through the years both in good times and shitty moments of my life, the i pod had been that one object I reached upon to chase all the blues away and at the same time when I am being a Drama Queen and just wants to be miserable and sulk .

For me personally the i pod is simply the best thing that Apple created.
I am also particularly proud that our fabulous college year book which is generally considered ahead of its time was conceived and created using Apple software and mind you this was 1993 to 1994 Windows 95 does not even exist yet'

Anyways it does sadden me that this visionary is gone and I am hoping that Apple would continue his enduring legacy.
In closing thank you and Long Live to Steve Jobs for sharing his visions to all who in one way or the other had bitten the APPLE....:(

Rosita's HAIR

If only for this I have found a new respect for Lady Gaga, The girl can sing. Remove all the trappings and the Rositaish Sesame Street hair, The girl is really talented. Although the Carol Burnett resemblance is quite uncanny sans the hair LOL.

"behymen"

The Fall TV season is currently ongoing and loads of new shows are vying for peoples attention and trying to be the New Hit or break Out Show of Fall.
I have sampled a few and there's a lot of variety to choose from from the new Witches of "Secret Circle", to Buffy's new show "Ringer" to Simon Cowell's "X Factor".to Steven Spielberg's produced Terra Nova.
And some showed promise and some are plain & simple crap.

But anyways I am currently engrossed or should I say obsessed with MTV's new show. And no definitely not Jersey shore but rather MTVs "AWKWARD".

Although admittedly I'm a latecomer in watching the said show as the 1st season had just ended but I did made up for it by watching a marathon of it in one of the free internet TV websites in two days(The whole season, 10 episodes in one sitting, The 11th just now).

Rarely that a show could make me laugh out loud alone just by watching it.
And this one is truly funny.

It tells the story of Jenna Hamilton and her adventures as an unpopular teenager with issues obviously. The show is treated on a first persons point of view (Jenna's).

It also deals with the everyday exploits of sexually-active teenage characters which is shown in a no guilt straight forward manner that one cant help but laugh as the situations presented is so hilarious.

I mean seriously there's this one episode wherein one of the characters Lissa a prude whose the president of the abstinence club, and she wants to go at it with her boyfriend Jake but still attempting to justify anything "short of" non-vaginal sex as a means to maintain her virginity. So Sadie( who I really despise at the same time love as I can identify with her evilness LOL) the resident bitch found a loop hole to get around the virginity issue.

One would think its oral sex but lo and behold they are talking about Anal sex.
And what really cracks me up is how they called the did "BEHYMEN"

Anyways I so so like this show and apparently its been picked up for a new season and I am so looking forward to seeing it ASAP.

THIRD SEX

It's quite disheartening to hear an out and out pure unadulterated Gay bashing from people in the media, with matching pseudo concern and with a dash of politeness on the side.
One would think that with the advancement in Gay causes people would have been a little tolerant with the LGBT Community. Unfortunately with TV personalities like Anthony Taberna who gave an outright condemnation of Gays in TV & other mediums from the Morning show of ABS-CBN "Umagang Kay Ganda,"
Here's the transcript and the English translation of the said rant from Mr.Taberna courtesy of Digital Journal

("I have been told that the reason that (male) children this young are already exposed to making friends with or being in love with other (male) children is...it is also the fault of TV. They say it is also the fault of media because the moment you turn on the TV, -sorry for the term- all you see are gay things. When you turn on the TV, when you log on to online - social networking, it (homosexuality) is allowed and accepted by the public. So perhaps this is a wake up call. I don't mean to take away the rights of the third sex, who are also good when it comes to performances and other things. But it seems a lot are encouraged to flaunt their gayness at a very early age.")

I mean seriously, it’s like being gay is something you develop or acquire by watching TV. And for cryin out loud the use of the word "THIRD SEX" is so demeaning....

Harvey Milk would be rolling in his grave if he hears what Mr.Taberna is saying. It's like Anita Bryant all over again....Crap I need my PIE...

The Right Time...

My friend R just got married and I am really happy for him. This is his second marriage and I think this time its a keeper...

I wasn't able to meet his life partner but judging from my friend's comments and how he lovingly writes about him I'd say its a fit.
Makes me wanna think actually as I have not had a steady relationship for two years already . The last one was a definite fluke but who cares actually, its all in the past now no matter how ugly and painful it was.

Lately I had been dating this one guy exclusively for two months, but no commitments yet.
Fuck Buddy if I may use the term loosely. We enjoy each others company and we have loads of fun whenever we go out or simply have a blast when were together.(literally and figuratively).

Which makes me think, What does it have to take for me to get serious again with another guy?

In all fairness my current paramour kinda fits the bill for the qualification,I'll call him Mr. P.
Firstly he is a very nice guy totally no temper at all. Although I'd have to say that I have known him only for two months, so whose to say what EVIL lurks within LOL.
He is good looking with a fabulous body to boot. We do enjoy each others company immensely and with him there's no dead air when were conversing,We practically finish each others sentences .
He's not that tall but its okay as I'm not exactly tall either, He does make up for it in other aspects (body part) LOL.

Then we go to one of the most important qualification which is sexual chemistry .
And Boy I can attest Mr. P is so damn good , I would say in all my years of doing the deed he is so up there probably one of the best.
Best as in the whites of my eyes roll and appear due to sheer ecstasy when were doing it LOL.

Having said all of that I guess I'm still not convinced that he is the one, Maybe I had become to cynical and jaded about Love but Ive had so many unfortunate relationships that started out really good but ended so badly that one feels so numbed.

For now I'll just take it one day at a time and hope I get a sign that Mr. P is the one. If not then I guess I can wait, I have waited for two years for cryin out loud so whats a few months or maybe another year to take the freakin plunge.

But I have a good feeling about this though...... :)

DAKO

Well here's one for the Guinness Book of World Records , A 21 footer 1 ton Salt water Crocodile was captured in Agusan in the Philippines.

And apparently this one has another male companion that's actually bigger than he is.Nice male on male action between the Crocs.LOL

Im actually thinking these catch could make hundreds of Birkin Crocs bags or maybe Prada or LV. Watchathink?

But seriously I'm hoping that the crocodiles and the other reptiles in the government would be a better catch,
Be it in the Executive or in the Legislative. I would surely be one happy Filipino if this happens.....

GET OUTTA MY WAY BITCH!!!

In the 90's M would have bitch slapped this girl but I guess those days are gone and M is a kinder and gentler version of herself. I kinda missed the arrogant bitchy Queen that she was but people do grow old and matures.

Hmmm kinda reminds me of my ballistic temper, my friend Kaela even mentioned that I have mellowed in terms of bitchiness as oppose to when I was younger.

Imagine that growing old and evolving with your idol...I truly love her and I cant wait for the next album....Its always been about her music no matter what.

SCATHING!!!!

After the glowing review from The Daily Mail ,the review's that follows are simply scathing and downright demolition job on the W.E. film.
I had high hopes for the film maybe not Oscar worthy but at least viewable and worth watching but with the critics damning it even before its theatrical release I'm kinda saddened by the turn of events. Especially after the screening of the film for critics in Venice.
But I'm not losing hope as it was mentioned when it was screened for the Festivals audience it actually got a standing ovation. Which I think is very important if the normal moviegoers liked it as opposed to critics liking it.
I have already accepted the fact that since this is a Madonna project this will take a lot of beating from critics.
Borrowing from a line from Awards Daily would sum up in a nutshell the Reviews for W.E.
"As for the fate of Madonna’s W.E. – you’re probably looking at a costume nod perhaps. The thing about Madonna is that they’re never going to cut her any slack. She will always be laughed at when she tries to do anything but dance around in her underwear. It’s just the good and the bad of what and who she is. She’s made her bed and not only has to lie in it — she can expect to be handcuffed spreadeagled to the headboard."
Anyways I sure am gonna watch this come December and hopefully enjoy it as what movies ought to do.

SUPER HOTTTTT!!!!

I'm getting really excited for Henry Cavill playing Superman. initially I had doubts, Sure he can act, He has a body to die for but of course it had always been the Christoper Reeve persona one thinks of when talking about Superman.

But with the leaked pictures of the new Man of Steel costume I'd say he does fit the bill and I'm simply freakin out because of the crotch. I hope it will not suffer Bandon Routh's crotch did, edited and photo shopped to appeal to a GP audience...

HATOL!!!!

Ok so the verdict is out. The very first review for W.E., And surprisingly it came from UK's The Daily Mail. For months the British rag had been lambasting and giving tirades that are below the belt even if the movie hadn't been shown yet.And I was surprisingly shocked that the Review is quite favorable. W.E. gets its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival tonight.Anyways enough of my rant heres the first review from "The Daily Mail".

Madonna makes us all fall in love with Mrs Simpson

By Baz Bamigboye

W.E. (directed by Madonna)

Stunning performance: Andrea Riseborough as Mrs Simpson

Stunning performance: Andrea Riseborough as Mrs Simpson

Madonna's film about the celebrated romance between King Edward VIII and the twice divorced Mrs Wallis Simpson, and the grave constitutional crisis it caused, is exquisitely done — but it’s going prove divisive.

A lot of people will loathe it, simply because it’s been made by Madonna.

But if they were to watch it with no knowledge of who directed, they would be pleasantly surprised. They might even find much of it enjoyable, although the odd moment may have them wondering if Madge has committed treason.

Whatever your feelings about Ms Ciccone, it’s impossible to refute that her film brings to the screen one of the most compelling love stories in history.

It also happens to be one of the best-dressed movies of the year. The costumes, as you would expect from the original material girl, are eye-popping. In fact, the whole thing looks fantastic — it’s designer Viagra.

W.E. (the title stands for the initials of the two lovebirds Wallis and Edward, although he close family and his mistresses called him David) subverts the Royal Family heritage genre by introducing a modern-day parallel, about an unhappily married New Yorker named Wally Winthrop. Madonna uses this second storyline to counterpoint and comment on what happened to the Duchess of Windsor (as Mrs Simpson became when she finally married the King after he renounced the throne for her).

What can a foreign singer who has spent the past three decades re-inventing herself, and her hair-style, possibly know about our Royal Family’s history, and the intricacies of a crisis that remains sensitive seven decades after it captivated the world?

Well, it would seem she knows a lot — although experts on the Abdication are bound to find fault (and they might have something to say about her insistence that the Duke and Duchess were not Nazi sympathisers).
Awaiting the reviews: Madonna was seen jetting into Venice airport earlier today without her family of her boyfriend ahead of the W.E. screening

But the director is clearly up to the challenge of defending herself. She studied the crisis for years before deciding to make this movie.

We all know that the affair cost the King his kingdom, and an empire. But Madonna the film-maker, who wrote the screenplay with her old friend Alek Keshishian, raises the question of what it cost Mrs Simpson.

To be sure, she became the Duchess of Windsor and lived a life of luxury but, as Mrs Simpson (played beautifully by Andrea Riseborough) points out, the King ‘used me to escape his prison, only to incarcerate me in my own’.

Poor old Mrs Simpson would have been happier if she could have shaken cocktails for His majesty while remaining married to second husband Ernest Simpson.

She would have been happier, too, if she could have thrown a few of those cocktails over the Queen Mother, who went around calling her a trollop.

But Madonna’s astute enough not to push it too far.

Some people have spent two years sharpening their knives for this film, but there have been at least two recent biographies of the Duchess that support much of Madonna’s view.

Those knives were also out because rough-cut previews suggested the film was destined to be another of Madge’s famous flops. Rumour had it that the two-tier love story was cumbersome.
Material Girl: Madonna has produced one of the best-dressed movies of the year

Material Girl: Madonna has produced one of the best-dressed movies of the year

Actually, the device is a breath of fresh air and I think it will make the movie accessible to younger audiences.

Whether it can do the kind of box office business The King’s Speech did is another matter.

However clever, the storyline of Wally and her Russian security boyfriend (played wellby Oscar Isaacs) is simply not as gripping as the real royal romance at the heart of the film.

There will also be misgivings over the inclusion of an actor playing Mohamed al Fayed, who gets a scene in the film because Wally wants access to the Duchess’s letters, and al Fayed purchased the Duke and Duchess’s Paris villa and its contents.

There were early drafts of the script that had the Duchess dancing with her pugs to the Sex Pistol’s God Save The Queen while her husband lay in bed under an oxygen mask and other medical apparatus.

Madonna opted instead to have the Duchess do the twist, as Chubby Checker’s great hit plays on a gramophone. It’s a fun scene — and typical of the best moments in this movie, which occur when Madonna has the courage of her convictions and breaks the rules in the way Baz Luhrmann does. It’s a fictionalised story based on facts, after all — not a documentary.

There’s a scene where the Prince of Wales and Mrs Simpson are with friends, dozing in comfy chairs.

The Prince, portrayed superbly as a blonde, blue-eyed boy by James D’Arcy, screams that he’s going to wake the party up by popping Benzedrine into the champagne.

Mrs Simpson hitches up her designer gown and dances the Charleston to the Sex Pistols. ‘We’re so pretty, we’re so pretty vacant’ the song goes, and it’s a sizzling moment that encapsulates the life of deluxe hedonism the couple led.

Wally (played by Abbie Cornish) is obsessed with the Duchess’s life. She gets to preview the Sotheby’s auction of the contents of the Duke and Duchess’s Paris villa on the Bois de Boulogne. She walks through rooms of furniture — the George III mahogany library table at which Edward signed his Abdication — past piles of linen, including the crepe de chine bed sheets the duchess insisted on being ironed twice a day.

At one point, Wally holds up a tablecloth emblazoned with the duchess’s cypher — two intertwined W’s woven like a butterfly. As she studies it, the scene cuts to the duchess overseeing the planning for a dinner party and the same tablecloth is being smoothed over the table. She sprays scent over the placements and instructs her maids to use shorter candles because, she explains, ‘the light needs to be just above eye level to be flattering’.

All this interior design porn, the sumptuous sofas, the castles, the Mayfair apartments, the south of France villas is fascinating, of course, but it also symbolises a life beyond the reach of all but a handful of us.

Madonna has lived such a life herself and knows it is meaningless unless you have someone you love to share it with.

NINANG

Two months ago My friend Rikarda mentioned this new song by Charice "LOUDER" in which I really didn't pay much attention.
I heard it and paid no mind to it as its again one of the run of the mill pop tunes being churned out every 20 seconds by the Recording industry Gods.
Fast forward the present, Apparently Charice's mentor the one and only Oprah Winfrey used the same song as jingle for her Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). And of course its all over the headline in the P.I..
I envy Charice for having a mentor like Oprah Winfrey who actually goes out of her way to promote her ward. Kinda like the Ninang that everybody aspires for.
I wish I have someone like Oprah as Ninang to call my OWN......

Expectations

I'm kinda disappointed that the movie version of One Day is a bonafide flop.
I was able to read the novel a year ago and I loved and adored it immensely.

So when I heard it'll be turned into a movie I had such high hopes and thinking that it will have that “When Harry met Sally” Vibe with more drama and be box office gold, plus the fact that Anne Hathaway is starring in it. Although personally I think she's too pretty to play Emma. I was hoping some Brit actress maybe Emily Blunt as I like her very much. But I guess Hollywood is banking on Anne's star power (I'm wondering what the studio executives are thinking right now.)

Anyways with the casting of Jim Sturgess I'm simply delighted as I’ve had the hots for this guy since I first saw him in “Across the Universe”. Something about Irish Guys lol.

Unfortunately my expectations of the movie becoming a hit did not materialize instead it flopped.
I just had to console meself that the Book is really good and a best seller at that.

Anyhow I am going to watch the movie this weekend and I'm keeping my fingers crossed hoping that the movie will not disappoint.

Mmmmmmm....

Two of the fastest rising star in the Philippine fast food industry are Mang Inasal and Chic-Boy. and I happen to have sampled each this week. Mang Inasal last Tuesday and Chic-Boy just now.

Judging from the menu of each, one cant help compare the two.

In terms of number of stores Mang Inasal of course leads as the said establishment was acquired by fast food giant Jollibee recently but by the way Chic_Boy branches are mushrooming in the Metro I'd say its not far behind plus the fact that its owned by Pier One Bar and Grill Holdings Corporation owner of course of the wildly successful Pier One chain of Resto Bar.

Now we go to the heart of the matter which is of course the food. Affordability wise I'd say their neck to neck as both have very affordable offerings. Although I'd have to say Mang Inasal is a little cheaper than Chic-Boy.

In terms of the variety in the choices Mang inasal offers more but Chic-Boy does have the Cebu Lechon liempo which in itself I think can carry the brand because its mighty tasty and the servings are a plentiful.I haven't actually tried all the foods they offer but I'm guessing with the price tag that each establishment put on their product is worth it. Value for money even.

Interiors and cleanliness I would say Chic-Boy although the branch I visited is fairly new as oppose to Mang Inasal. But I have to commend Chic-Boy for their set up which seamlessly provides a more pleasurable dining experience as oppose to Mang Inasal's.

In terms of the comfort rooms Chic-Boy is much better but one has to qualify as mentioned prior that the Chic-Boy Branch is fairly new and the branch I went to is situated in a new community (Otis Residences near Robinsons Otis) as oppose to the Mang Inasal branch(SaveMore in Novaliches near the palengke) that I went to.

I would say hands down the two food chain is commendable for serving cheap and affordable eats that are both filling and delicious at that.

With the current economic situation our country is facing Its nice to have this kind of restos that can satisfy the Filipino palate without emptying our pockets.

In Fairness

Judging from the stills and the really fabulous spread from Vanity Fair, Madonna's second directorial effort "W.E." will be something to look forward to. Of course it does help that M had a really good eye for aesthetics so I'm judging that this movie will be visually enticing. Some of the test audience from the initial screenings even likened it to a Chanel advertisement which as everybody knows are ultra glossy and glamorous but I'm not sure if it was said as a compliment or a criticism though. LOL

I'm also quite glad that Abel Korzeniowski did the musical score as he had done a marvelous job for Tom Ford's "A Single Man". Not to forget Arianne Philips as the costume designer.

For sure this movie will get a lot of notice both criticisms and praise primarily because the Madonna name is associated to it.

I even read that a certain reporter is trying to get negative criticisms for it from the people who had seen the film during its test audience run in NY and Chicago.Which is really shitty if I may say so.

But anyhow I'm hoping that this movie gets a fair judgment on its own merits not on the fact that its directed by Madonna......
Cant wait...

Final Question

A breath of fresh air and a very overwhelming sense of pride was afforded by the Philippine Dragon Boat Federation for giving the country 5 golds and 2 silver medals from the recently concluded International Dragon Boat Federation World Championships in Tampa Florida USA. After the AZKALS loss in the qualifier this is surely something to be proud about.

Unfortunately even with the said achievement controversy still hounds the said victory as there is the issue with their not being recognized by the POC as the official national sports association (NSA) for dragon boat. They are also not endorsed by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC)there by not qualified to compete at the upcoming SEA GAMES. In which case happened earlier at the Asian Games.

Sad to say but politicking had been the Game that PSC and POC had been playing for years that's why nothing much really comes out of any sports program. I am assuming this is almost sure GOLD at the SEA Games and I am hoping PNoy and other level headed government officials intercede and do something about it.

As a final note and final question though, Will the Dragon Boat Team go the route of what the Philippine Volcanoes and AZKALS did?
Seeing that they have toned and buff bodies from Dragon boat Racing. Will they pose in their undies for one of the Local clothing brands?
Will it be Boxer or Briefs?....LOL
