HAPPY 70th BIRTHDAY Ms. Streisand

MAGIC MIKE First Look...

I am simply drooling over this movie. Imagine Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Joe Manganiello ,Matt Bomer, Matthew McConaughey and Adam Rodriguez in their tighty whities and in a series of state of undress. I am so watching this. And lest we might forget this is not some run of the mill stripper movie as its directed by none other than Steven Soderbergh .

In Our Thirties LOL

I like Fun’s “We Are Young” ft. Janelle Monáe. Catchy beat but I guess at my age the theme of the song doesn't really apply, That ship had sailed fifteen years ago. Then comes “We’re Not Young” Part of Yahoo’s Sketchy comedy series, the parody created this somehow relatable but it hurts and hits near home video spoof. Hilarious actually but pathetic at the same time but very true in a way LOL

I WANT

TURN UP THE RADIO

I really don't know for the love of God why this song wasn't chosen by Madonna's team as the lead single for her new album MDNA.
The song reeks of hit written all over it or is it just me. But then again compared to the previous single releases from MDNA namely "Give me All your Luvin" and "Girl Gone Wild" I think this is more accessible to the general public. Billboard Magazine was even quoted in saying that this should definitely be the next single.
Now that MDNA had a huge dip in the charts from No. 1 to No. 8 in the US Billboard chart, It needs a push from a hit single and I'm thinking this could be it.
It just irritates me that MDNA is a very good solid album with really good songs in it, And that it will be lost in oblivion, because this album is too good to just fade away.
I personally don't care that much about charts and as long as the Queen is making music it should be enough but I am just disappointed how M's management handled this albums promotion totally no traditional promotion quote unquote , I know that M is making tons of money in touring more than any hit savvy young uns (Katy, Gaga even Adele) but cant she at least say perform in a TV show, or do a cover in a major publication ( Vanity Fair, Vogue, Rolling Stone etc) like what she used to do in the past.
Maybe its a sign of aging, but just like her album I don't want her to fade into oblivion unless she wanted to , kinda like Garbo when she said "I Want To Be Alone".....
Anyways whatever happens I will forever Be a fan no matter what....

POSTSCRIPT: Gang Bang is another worthy single but I'm basing my choice on the fact that Gang Bang is not a General Patronage song , not suitable for kids actually.LOL

PART OF ME

So Katy Perry will be releasing a concert movie and its entitled "Part Of Me".
From the trailer it looks delicious and good enough to eat as its bursting with really bright rainbow colors and not to mention that its in 3D.

And apparently Katy Perry did say that the Concert movie was partially inspired by the Queen of Pop’s 1991 film “Truth or Dare.”

In contrast to Truth Or Dare which was shot mostly in black & White with only the concert footage's in color, Katy's movie as mentioned is in full on bright color mode.

I actually like Katy Perry as she's laid back with not that much pretense and drama to her persona. Her songs are simple, never pretentious and is catchy as hell, which is probably the reason why she had been racking up those number 1's in the Billboard Music Charts and all over the world for that matter.
And I do give her props for acknowledging Madonna as one of her major influences but at the same time doing her own thing without copying anybody not like some other pop princesses that claims to be original but in truth just a reductive copy of the Queen (The Nerve).

BTW, the Blu-ray version of Madonna's Truth or Dare is also set to be released this month also.

KINDA BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL!!!

Don't get me wrong I love me some Lana Del Rey. I think her music is unique although when word got out that she is indeed a manufactured artist by the big music studios some of her oh shiny sheen had been tarnished. And it really cracks me up when the Ultra elitist Blog Critics Pitchfork held her into high heavens as the next big thing and they found out as mentioned a creation of a record label, I don't think they've ever mentioned her since.LOL

But I really don't care if Lana is a creation or manufactured by some big record label, I think she's very talented and there's something really appealing about her. It Doesn't hurt that she's very pretty also and has a husky big voice that lulls one to sleep, or that the themes of her songs are like soundtrack to the moments of your life when you just feel like slashing your wrist or hanging oneself due to heart break. LOL.
Now that Adele had reached that mega stardom thingie and most people are starting to get irritated by her songs being played on the hour every hour on the radio, Lana is indeed a sort of fresh air coming in.

I love Lana's new single Blue Jeans, her voice has so much character and depth which we don't find in our usual pop tarts nowadays. And I was really expecting a killer video for this song as its on repeat play on my iPod. But sadly what the video gave me is headache, primarily because of the kinda nauseating water effects during the start of the said video.
Anyways as I was browsing the internet I chanced upon this video for "The Week" using Lana's Blue Jeans as the music for their behind the scenes clip. And might I just say this enlivens and made my utter disappointment on the original Blue jeans video to delight especially that this features gorgeous Brazilian guys and their sculpted body in full glory. and I think this is kinda better than the original LOL
Forgive me that I am Oh sooooooooooo GHEYYYYYYYYY LOL

Madonna Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200

by Keith Caulfield, L.A. | April 03, 2012 6:20 EDT

Madonna scores her eighth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with the debut of her "MDNA," while Lionel Richie's all-star country collaborations covers album "Tuskegee" bows in the runner-up slot -- his highest-charting album since 1986.

Madonna remains in second place among women with the most No. 1 albums. She now needs only one more No. 1 to tie Barbra Streisand, the leader among women with nine chart-toppers.

"MDNA" sold 359,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan, and is Madonna's fifth straight studio album to debut at No. 1. It follows 2008's "Hard Candy," which moved 280,000 in its first week. "MDNA's" opener is her best sales week since 2000's "Music" shifted 420,000 when it debuted at No. 1.

Meanwhile, Richie's "Tuskegee" starts with 199,000 -- his best sales week since SoundScan began tracking sales in 1991. His previous largest frame in that span of time was when 2006's "Coming Home" started with 75,000 at No. 6 in 2006. Richie was last higher on the Billboard 200 in 1986, when "Dancing on the Ceiling" spent two weeks at No. 1.

Like other veteran acts before him, Richie opted for a creative way to reach consumers with "Tuskegee." Not only did he go the covers route (see: Tony Bennett, Rod Stewart, etc.) but he also brought in a gaggle of A-listers (again, Bennett with his "Duets" albums, or, Santana's "Supernatural"). Further, he isn't just covering old tunes -- he's covering his own familiar hit singles, but with a country slant.

Richie also was the focus of an hour-long concert special on the Home Shopping Network on March 16. Sales generated from the broadcast amounted to about 20,000 sold, says Richie's record label, Universal Music Nashville.

A traditional studio album from Richie would have likely never sold as well as "Tuskegee," which targets multiple demographics all in one tidy package. Case in point: In one week, "Tuskegee" moved more than twice what his last studio album did in total -- 2009's "Just Go" has done 95,000.

In terms of release-week promotion, Madonna was basically off the radar, instead focusing her energy on rehearsals for her upcoming world tour. That stands in contrast to Richie, who worked the TV circuit hard in the past week.

"F* CK U BETTA"

To All my Ex's Bwahahahahaha
This video reminds me of Kylie's Get Outta My Way with the Randy Blue Boys.

PARTEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Yeah I know its lent but then again in the Philippines along with the observation of lent, it's also a time to party for most Filipinos.
Its actually not so unusual to see while in one house there's the traditional reading of the Passion of Christ, on another there's a party goin on.
The irony of the Filipino people actually celebrating a deeply serious religious occasion at the same time partying on the side.
And it does not hurt that the Semana Santa is punctuated by another holiday Valor Day so definitely everybody will be [partying till the wee hours of Easter Sunday as Monday is a Holiday....ENJOY !!!!!!!!

ON REPEAT PLAY

Just cant get enough......Literally
